Room Parent Information
At the beginning of every school year, the PTA works with teachers to identify at least one parent per class to serve as a room parent for the year. The main role of a room parent to send communications to other parents in the class about what is happening in the class and the school at large. The room parent is the connection between the teacher, the PTA, and the parents. The room parent communications allow parents to participate effectively in their child’s learning and to volunteer for many events that the PTA and school cannot run without their help. While this role is important, it can be done from home and is not overly time-consuming. See below for more details!
