Tanya Anurag
PTA President
Hi ARES Families! I’m honored to be your 2026-27 PTA President. My family loves ARES, where my two boys are currently in 5th and 3rd grade. Professionally, I work as a Research Lead in Software and in my free time, I let the creative bug take over.
Over the past few years, the PTA has given me an incredible window into how our school works and a wonderful way to stay active in my kids’ education. I’m looking forward to a fantastic year ahead with all of you!

Judene Johnson
PTA Treasurer
Hello ARES family! My name is Judene Johnson, and I am the proud mother of Skylar and Xiomara Johnson, who are both fifth-grade students at ARES. I am currently a student at North Carolina Central University (NCCU), where I am pursuing a degree in Accounting.
This is my family’s third year at ARES, and we are grateful to be part of such a wonderful school community. I am honored to serve on the PTA Board as your Treasurer for the 2026–2027 school year. I look forward to working alongside our families, staff, and fellow board members to help make this a successful and memorable year for our students.
Thank you for your support, and I look forward to meeting and working with you all!

PTA Secretary

Jaime Sharpe
PTA Co-Vice President
Hello ARES families! My professional background spans 18 years in healthcare, and I currently work a startup based in Minnesota. When I’m not working, I enjoy art, catching a good movie, and traveling.
I have an amazing second grader at ARES. Throughout our time at the school, I have been impressed by the dedicated way the PTA shows up to support, enrich and advocate for our school community. I am truly looking forward to a wonderful year ahead and serving as one of your vice presidents and collaborating with you all!

Rajika Roy
PTA Co-Vice President
I am Rajika, mom to Aviya, who just started 2nd grade. I am an assistant professor at Duke working on heart failure research. Children spend more of their waking hours at school than they do at home. Hats off to the dedicated teachers and staff, who pour their hearts into shaping these young minds every single day.
For me, being actively involved in the PTA is a heartfelt way of saying thank you—to the teachers and staff—for their unwavering commitment and the incredible impact they make on our children’s lives. I look forward to serving as one of the Vice president and working alongside all the others!
